Edmond Urbanist statement on ONE Transit brand announcement

The Edmond Urbanist Association commends the Regional Transportation Authority of Central Oklahoma Board of Directors on the official announcement and adoption of the ONE Transit brand for the Oklahoma City metro rapid transit system that includes routes connecting Oklahoma City, Norman, Edmond, Tinker Air Force Base, OKC-Will Rogers World Airport, and beyond.

We applaud the many years of planning, negotiation, and most of all - commitment - by the leaders and citizens of the member cities of Oklahoma City, Norman, and Edmond to bring us to this point. There is still much work to do by the agency, the member cities, and advocates for public transit and sustainable development in the metro area to prepare this plan for a vote of the people. 

We are excited to see the brand, the projects, the routes, and the marketing strategy, and we’ll be even more excited when the time comes to vote YES for ONE Transit!
