New Urbanism developments in Downtown Edmond get shout out from CNU

Two New Urbanism developments in Downtown Edmond - Hurd Courts and The Townsend - were recently featured in an article by Robert Steuteville with The Congress for the New Urbanism.

In the article, Steuteville describes "inner-block urbanism," a development concept that focuses new housing and commercial construction within a city block by making use of interior alleys and courtyards, as well as pedestrian-friendly streetscapes.

Hurd Courts and The Townsend are doing just that. These two projects will bring dozens of new families to live in Downtown Edmond while providing spaces for new local businesses like small shops, cafes, and offices. We think this means more opportunities for folks to live, work, and play in Downtown Edmond and a more walkable and community-focused lifestyle.
